Hi friends, family, and community around Lauren!
Our wonderful mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend had a small stroke on October 1. We're so grateful to say that she's doing incredibly well, and her doctors expect a full recovery. However, her road to recovery will involve therapies to rebuild her facility with hand control and some language difficulty, called aphasia. As you know, Lauren is an ASL interpreter, so though we're confident she'll get those abilities back, she'll be unable to work until she does.
Those who know Lauren know that she lives for others. She is a mom to four incredible kiddos, two of whom she home schools, while working evenings, and is passionate about her convictions and her community. As her family, we are working to makes sure that right now, she expends all of her effort toward recovery. We deeply appreciate Lauren's village in this moment, and any bit contributed by the wonderful community of folks that have helped make her the person we adore.
Love,
Lauren's family
