Support Lauren’s Cancer Treatment Journey

Anyone who knows Lauren knows how big her heart and personality is. That’s why it was such a shock that just a day after Christmas, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

What began as a trip to urgent care for a lump in her neck has quickly turned into a mental, physical, emotional, and financial journey to recovery. Lauren’s treatment is a journey and requires chemotherapy, various testing (e.g., PET scans, bone marrow biopsies), and fertility care (e.g., egg retrieval). This care will help her treat her cancer. It will also help protect her fertility options. Lauren is also a beloved aunt to her one year old niece and has plans of becoming a mom in the future. This treatment will ensure that option remains a possibility.

While Lauren is just beginning this journey, she has already experienced mounting medical and travel expenses. Lauren moved to Florida and became a resident there in March to begin an exciting new chapter with her boyfriend, Connor. However, this means she is 1,200 miles from her support system of family and friends in New York during this difficult time. She will incur travel expenses for family visiting FL to offer her support. Should she receive some treatment in NY, there are travel costs for herself and/or Connor. Combining the medical and travel expenses with lost wages from missed work and other costs leaves Lauren in need of help.
