In the spring of 2019, Lauren was diagnosed with stomach cancer as a young adult.
Since then, she has:
- Endured radiation and chemo
- Coped with the loneliness of a much longer COIVD quarantine period than the layperson had to deal with
- Become the owner of an impactful business that strengthens her community, despite it all.
As one of her oldest friends, I can confirm that Lauren's resilience is legendary. She is savvy with her planning, highly motivated, and inspired.
But the harsh reality is that this doesn't do enough to help cancer. Recently, Lauren's financial advisor told her, "You've basically paid the cost of a down payment on a Seattle home in medical bills."
And now more are coming. Lauren recently got the news that she needs to gear up for round three of treatment.
Lauren has always found boundless joy in generosity. She consistently gives and shows up for people. Now, she needs us to show up for her.
Lauren is in need of a safety net as she faces Round Three. The goal of this campaign is to raise enough for her to pay impending medical bills while still meeting her personal needs through this next season.
