Support Lauren's Battle with POTS

My name is Kalie Lehman, and I'm reaching out through this GoFundMe to support one of my dearest friends, Lauren, who has been bravely battling Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) for the past year. POTS is a challenging and often debilitating condition that has impacted nearly every aspect of her daily life. Simple tasks have become incredibly difficult, and Lauren often starts her day with intense head pressure and dizziness. Many days, she is forced to stay in bed to avoid fainting, missing out on work, spending time with friends, or even enjoying the small pleasure of walking her adorable dog.

Thankfully, there is a treatment program available that has shown promise in relieving her symptoms. However, each session costs around $325 and isn’t covered by insurance. Doctors recommend weekly sessions, and after her initial round of treatments, Lauren experienced her first glimpse of normalcy in a long time. Unfortunately, to maintain this improvement, she needs to continue these treatments until she can finally see a specialist which is scheduled a year out for official diagnosis and extended treatments needed.

Lauren’s family has supported her as much as possible, but the costs of ongoing treatments, therapies, injections, medications and missed work days are increasingly overwhelming. I’ve created this fundraiser in hopes of helping this incredible, compassionate friend get the medical care she deserves. Lauren is truly one of the kindest souls I know, always ready to drop everything to support those she loves. Any help you can provide would be deeply appreciated as we work together to give Lauren the chance to live a life free of pain and filled with joy.
