My sweet cousin Lauren was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. At just 25 years old and in the middle of her college years, she has already shown incredible bravery and optimism through something that feels scary and overwhelming.
If you know Lauren, you know she is sweet, adventurous, kind, faithful, and full of light. She has made a positive impact on so many through the ways she serves, teaches, explores, and works to bring good to others.
In February, Lauren underwent surgery to remove her thyroid and two very large masses, which were confirmed to be malignant. We are grateful the cancer was caught and that her surgery went well, but she still has a road of treatment, recovery, and expenses ahead.
Throughout this experience, Lauren and her family have chosen gratitude and have recognized many small miracles along the way.
As she continues treatment, our hope is to ease the financial burden that often accompanies a diagnosis like this — medical bills, follow-up care, and time away from work and school. At 25, she is just beginning her adult life, and we would love to help ensure this medical challenge does not create long-term financial strain.
If you feel able to give, any contribution is deeply appreciated. If not, sharing this page and keeping Lauren in your thoughts and prayers means so much.
