Hi friends and family,

My name is Lauren Davis, and I’m entering the final semester of my nursing school journey — set to graduate in December 2025! As part of this final semester, I’ll be earning my Public Health Nurse (PHN) credentials, which means my focus will shift toward public and community health.

I’ve been incredibly blessed with a unique opportunity to complete my clinical hours abroad at the Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany this October. Only a few individuals from our cohort are selected for this international placement, and I’m honored to be among them.

During the three weeks in Germany, I’ll be involved in school nursing and case management, supporting mental health needs, assisting with athletic training and immunizations, and participating in protocol development. I’ll also have the humbling opportunity to provide care at a local refugee camp — a chance to extend compassion and support to displaced individuals in a global context.

This is a fully self-funded opportunity — the school does not cover any portion of the trip. That means everything from airfare and housing to food and transportation is out of pocket. I’m currently raising $3,000 to make this opportunity possible, and every dollar will go directly toward helping me serve these students and communities with excellence and love.

That said, I believe support goes far beyond financial giving. While funds are necessary and deeply appreciated, prayer and encouragement are just as vital. If asking for financial help is one part of inviting people into this journey, inviting you to pray alongside me is even more important. If you feel led to give, I’m grateful. But if you're not in a place to contribute financially, please know that your support in prayer and presence is powerful and so deeply valued.
