Support Laurel's Urgent Health Battle

One of my closest friends, Laurel Creighton, has recently entered a time of immense crisis and is in desperate need of help.

On May 28th, Laurel had breast reduction surgery, and while the surgery itself went well, the fallout has been absolutely catastrophic.

Laurel has been suffering from severe and painful complications from the procedure and has been admitted to the hospital for over a week.

Most critically, severe infection and abscesses in her breast tissue have emerged. Despite two procedures that showed initial success, they have failed to mitigate the abscesses. Not only have they returned, but they have grown.

The abscesses are not responding to antibiotics, and any containment seems only to be temporary. Critical care is desperately needed, which includes both emergency surgery and eventual reconstructive surgery.

Due to the severity of the situation, timing is critical, and the surgery must be performed as soon as possible.

In-network options are not available soon enough. Laurel has been fortunate enough to find a wonderful doctor who, by a stroke of good fortune, has had a cancellation at this moment when medical attention is most needed. However, he is out of network, and the surgery will cost $7500.

This has been a devastating time for Laurel. Not only is her health in jeopardy, she has also been robbed of the opportunity to attend Cambridge University this summer, which would have been the culmination of years of hard work.
