We’re reaching out today to ask for support for my sister, Laureen, who is currently facing a difficult and uncertain health journey. For many years, she has been experiencing ongoing health issues that have significantly impacted her daily life. What started as concerning symptoms has led to numerous doctor visits, specialist appointments, testing, and ongoing evaluations as doctors work to determine an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Laureen has to be on a special Gluten free diet which is extremely expensive, constant dental pain with the need to find an oral surgeon that will actually accept her insurance to possible surgically remove a cyst. This surgery could end up costing thousands of dollars due to the lack of good medical insurance. Because of her condition and the frequency of medical appointments, Laureen is currently unable to work as much as she needs, creating unexpected financial stress at a time when her focus needs to be entirely on healing and finding answers.

Anyone who knows Laureen knows she is someone who always shows up for others, hardworking, and generous with her time and energy. Now, she needs a community to show up for her. Funds raised will go toward medical expenses and testing costs, doctor and specialist visits, medications and treatment-related expenses, and everyday living expenses and car payments (so she can get to her appointments) while she is unable to work.
