Support Laureano Roy Lopez's Final Journey

It is hard to describe in words how much my father meant to me. The many lives he’s touched as a father, husband, son, uncle, friend, confidant, and brother.

The outpouring of support and kind words is a clear indication of how important Roy was to the many people he touched.

Laureano Roy Lopez aka the People’s Choice passed away at 12:05amEST on Wednesday June 12, 2024 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. He is survived by 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren.

My dad is a rock in the family. A life gone too soon. We love him so very much. I miss him so, so much already. I’m so glad I was able to be there with him to the last breath. Im happy he wasn’t alone, and I was able to tell him one final time, “I love you very much, take care of yourself”, something he always said to me at the end of each and every phone call.

My sisters and I want to make sure we respect his wishes of being buried in Honduras next to his mother, Antolina Avila. May they rest in power together.
