My name is Adam Eastwood, and I live in Los Angeles and work with my good friend Laura Bennett (LB), who, like so many others in Altadena and elsewhere in Southern California, has lost her home in the devastating fires which started on January 7th. Laura was fortunate enough to evacuate with a few items but has essentially lost everything except her car; everything else was in the house. Laura is a very self-sufficient person with an extremely solid work ethic, but the process of filing insurance claims and working while finding temporary housing is extremely challenging. Any amount of assistance will be extremely helpful as she works to pick up the pieces.

Many people have offered to assist Laura in this terrible time, but she has indicated she can manage this. However, the reality is that she needs help, so we have set up a GoFundMe so all of those lovely people who would like to help can do so.

We have no way to know how much will be needed, and I have never set up a GoFundMe before. The system suggested the goal amount. We just wanted to have something that would enable anyone wishing to help to donate to help our dear friend Laura.
