Laura—an incredible realtor and beloved member of our team—recently decided to embrace a new adventure: her very first ski trip. She showed up ready to take on the slopes with enthusiasm… but unfortunately, the slopes had other plans. After a tough fall, Laura suffered a fully torn ACL, partial tears to her MCL and meniscus —all requiring surgery. As a full-time single mom, Laura has always worked tirelessly to provide for her little family. Like so many of us as independent contractors, the cost of health insurance can be difficult to manage, and she’s now facing this moment without coverage. Her injuries have left her unable to walk or work, and the cost of surgery and medical care is overwhelming.
