Support Laura's Live Studio Music Project

Hi! I’m Laura (pronounced Lao-ra, in Spanish) — a Colombian-born Latin Alternative singer-songwriter based in New York.

My sound blends influences from artists like Norah Jones, Natalia Lafourcade, and Mon Laferte, combining my formal training as a jazz vocalist with a deep love of Latin American folk and pop music.

I’ve released three original projects — Chance on Me EP (2018), Heart (2020), and Daughter of the Sea (2022) — and I’m currently working on my fourth: a fully Spanish-language, live in-studio recording inspired by Snarky Puppy’s Family Dinner sessions.

We’ve already put down the deposit on the studio, we’ve been rehearsing regularly, and I’ve been lucky to work with the incredible Sirintip Phasuk as a mentor and creative coach through Chamber Music America’s Performance Plus Program.

Now, I’m raising finishing funds to increase the musicians' fees, mix and master the tracks, and hire a videography team to document the session and create content that will help share this music with the world.

¡Hola! Soy Laura cantautora nacida en Colombia y radicada en Nueva York.

Mi sonido combina influencias de artistas como Norah Jones, Natalia Lafourcade y Mon Laferte, fusionando mi formación formal como vocalista de jazz con un profundo amor por la música folklórica y pop de América Latina.

He lanzado tres proyectos originales — Chance on Me EP (2018), Heart (2020) y Daughter of the Sea (2022) — y actualmente estoy trabajando en el cuarto: una grabación completamente en español, en vivo desde el estudio, inspirada en las sesiones Family Dinner de Snarky Puppy.

Ya hicimos el depósito para el estudio, hemos estado ensayando regularmente, y he tenido la fortuna de trabajar con la increíble Sirintip Phasuk como mentora y asesora creativa gracias al programa Performance Plus de Chamber Music America .

Ahora estoy recaudando fondos para mejorar el pago de los músicos, mezclar y masterizar las canciones, y contratar a un equipo de video para documentar la sesión y crear contenido que me ayude a compartir esta música con el mundo.
