Hello, my name is Laura Cockerham, and I am proud to say that I am a three-time gold medalist in the Women’s 100 Meter Dash at the local and state levels in the North Carolina Senior Games. Competing in the 60-64 age range, I have pushed myself to new heights, and now, I have an incredible opportunity ahead of me—I have qualified to compete at the National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa, in July 2025!

Participating in the National Senior Games is a dream come true. It’s a chance to represent my community and prove that age is no barrier to athletic achievement. However, this opportunity comes with significant costs for travel, lodging, and participation fees. That’s why I’m reaching out to friends, family, and supporters to help me get to the games.
