Help A Dedicated Mom Pursue Her Degree In Nursing

Hey everyone,

My name is Laura and I am a mother of two girls who is returning back to school the second time around to become a registered nurse. Balancing motherhood and work has its challenges, but my dream of becoming a RN drives me every day to reach my personal and professional goals.

In short, the past two years, I worked in the long term care industry and it was either go the corporate route, which dealt mainly with managing finances or go down the nursing route so I can learn how to help patients with maintaining their health goals. I made the latter choice because ever since I was a young girl, I truly wanted to help people feel better in any regard and get the most personal satisfaction in knowing I have done everything I could to make someone feel better. With my previous social work experience, I have been able to utilize many resources to help people in our community to thrive independently for their families, and I hope I can get some help in trying to make my current dream a reality.

I am currently working part-time as a CNA at our local hospital, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to my community. My goal is to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a crucial step that will allow me to provide even better care and support to those in need so that I can work in the ICU/ ER and help those who truly need me to improve their lives for the better.

However, the cost of pursuing my degree is a significant challenge, especially since I had to reduce my hours to accommodate the nursing program requirements. I am reaching out to ask for your support in making this dream a reality. Your donation will directly help cover the following:

Health insurance for clinical rotations in nursing departments- $1,231.00/ semester
