Help Laura Come Home to Woodstock

In the summer of 1969, a young woman named Laura Bennett stood in a field in Bethel, New York, surrounded by music, hope, and a sense that the world—despite everything—could be beautiful, connected, and full of possibility.

That field became more than just a place. It became a feeling. A memory. A piece of her soul.

More than five decades later, Laura is still here—and her story is one of strength, resilience, and quiet courage.

Over the years, she has faced challenges that would shake anyone: a battle with cancer, ongoing struggles with epilepsy, and the many ups and downs life can bring. Through it all, she has kept going with grace, warmth, and an enduring spirit.

Now, as the anniversary of Woodstock approaches this August, Laura has one simple, powerful wish:

She wants to go back.

Back to the field where it all began.
Back to a place that represents peace, music, and belonging.
Back “home,” in the deepest sense of the word.

This trip isn’t just a vacation—it’s a full-circle moment. A chance to reconnect with a time in her life that brought joy, freedom, and meaning. A chance to stand in that same space again and feel that energy, that history, and that sense of unity.

We’re asking for your help to make this journey possible.

Your support will go toward:

Travel expenses to Bethel, NY
Lodging during the anniversary celebration
Transportation and accessibility needs
Food and basic trip costs
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings Laura one step closer to returning to a place that shaped her life.

If you’re someone who believes in the power of music, memory, and second chances…
If you believe that healing can come from reconnecting with joy…
If you believe in helping someone come home—

Please consider donating or sharing this campaign.

Let’s help Laura stand in that field again, under the same open sky, and feel the music one more time.

Thank you for being part of her journey!
