HELP AND PRAYERS FOR LAURA HOHF
On the afternoon of September 10 2024, Laura was found unconscious on her bedroom floor. She suffered a massive stroke, resulting in severe brain damage and complete paralyzation to the left side of her body. She is only 64 years old. She is a wife, a mother of 3, a sister to 3, an aunt to 8, and a friend to many. On September 11th, Laura underwent lifesaving surgery which resulted in the removal of half her skull to relieve pressure and swelling. Laura spent the next 5 weeks in the ICU. By the grace of God, Laura survived but the damage to her brain is so severe, doctors are unsure how she will progress. On October 26th, Laura underwent a second surgery to replace her skull. She then spent another 5 days in the ICU and was then transported to an in-patient rehab facility.
Laura is still paralyzed on the left side of her body. She cannot walk, hold her head up, eat without assistance, and needs 24 hour care. She is scared and hates that her family has to see her this way.
Laura’s outcome totally relies on her receiving at least 8 months of intense physical and occupational therapy, in hopes that she is able to recover.
She needs a long term, inpatient, skilled nursing, stroke rehab facility. These are very costly and some many miles away from home and family, resulting in unforeseen travel and lodging expenses.
So we are asking for everyone to join us with any help you can offer to ease the incredible burden during this difficult time.
All donations will be used to help offset medical costs, rehab facilities and transportation for Laura.
Our goal is to have Laura regain her independence and get back to the life she built and loves. She is a talented esthetician and hopes to be able to continue doing the work she loves.
Thank you for the continued prayers. Please feel free to leave words of encouragement for Laura so she is surrounded with all of our support.

I had the pleasure of meeting Laura Hohf 10 years ago when she started working at Salon De Christe’ as an esthetician. Salon De Christe’ is a work family that has shared lots of good times and bad times together, and now we are coming together to support Laura and her family.
Laura suffered from a stroke 3 weeks ago and is still hospitalized. Progress is happening, but there will be a long recovery of rehabilitation. The family is facing unexpected medical costs, traveling costs, lodging costs, etc. And of course, Laura is not able to do what she loves, taking care of her guests for their esthetic needs in the salon. Just asking for any help to ease the stress and anxiousness of this trying time.
Feel free to leave words of encouragement for Laura so she is surrounded with our support
Thank you!
