Sunday evening April 12th, my mother Laura had to undergo an unexpected open heart surgery and is now facing a long road to recovery. She will be unable to work for the next few months leaving her without income while medical bills and everyday living expenses continue to grow. My mother has already endured so much, recently losing her partner and now navigating this difficult time while still grieving. With limited health insurance coverage, the financial burden has become overwhelming on top of the physical and emotional toll she is carrying.
