Support Laura's Fight Against Leukemia

Cancer sucks, but you can help ease the suck. My name is Laura and I need to raise funds for medical and travel expenses.

I live in Montana with my amazing husband and our two grown sons. We adopted our granddaughter, who will be 9 on the 26th of July.

On July 17th, after being in the hospital for 3 1/2 days, I received a phone call that no one wants to receive.

"Hello Laura, this is Dr. ... I am so sorry to do this over the phone, but you have leukemia." Fast forward about 14 hours, there we are in the doctor's office, talking about my bone marrow biopsy and the different types of leukemia. Fast forward another 12 hours and I am admitted at one of the best cancer treatment centers ... BUT IT'S IN UTAH.

They don't allow children under the age of 14 to be here but were kind enough to let my husband and granddaughter stay until Sunday morning.

They drove back to Montana and had to leave me here. I will be here for at least a month.

My husband and I are very rarely apart. We have been married for 28 years. It just feels wrong not having him here. Not only does cancer suck, it's extremely frustrating and expensive! Please consider donating to help ease this process and get my family back together.

I hate to ask, I think asking is harder than fighting cancer.
