Hi, my name is Laura Cajacob, and I’m living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
I was first diagnosed in June of 2024, and everything changed almost overnight. Surgeries, treatment plans, and an avalanche of emotions hit all at once. Since then, the cancer has spread to my spine, severely damaging several vertebrae. I now have titanium plates in my back just to stay stabilized.
Just before Christmas, I received the devastating news that my cancer is incurable. This is something I’ll be living with for the rest of whatever time I have left.
Over the past eight months, I’ve undergone six surgeries and during that time I was unable to work at all. It’s honestly hard and humbling to ask for help like this, but my medical bills continue to grow—my most recent bill from the Mayo Clinic was over $55,000.
If you're in a position to help, even a little, it would mean the world to me. And if not, simply sharing this message is a tremendous support. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for any kindness you can offer.
With love,
Laura
