I'm Laura's sister, Amber. Laura has received news that she has invasive ductal carcinoma, and while we are still awaiting all of the test results (CT scan, bone scan, genetic testing), we do know that the results she has received so far show activity in her lymph nodes surrounding her chest area. As she awaits for further testing to determine the stage of cancer, the last thing I want her to stress about is the financial strain these unexpected medical expenses can cause.

While we know medical visits, scans, surgery, etc. can be expensive, I want her to be able to focus on staying positive and being as healthy as possible, and spending time with her children. She will inevitably have surgery and during her recovery will not be able to work. Please help me ease her mind and give her some sense of peace during this difficult time. I will continue to update her journey....
