Dear Friends and Kind Strangers,

My name is Bethanne, I am reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for your support for an incredible woman who has fought an unimaginable battle with strength, grace, and courage. My dear friend, Laura Youse, has been bravely battling breast cancer since 2016. Throughout her years of treatment — chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries — and all the ups and downs of this long fight, Laura has remained a beacon of positivity and resilience. She has continued to raise her two amazing kids, support her husband, maintain the household, and even work when she could, all while enduring unimaginable pain and hardship.

Sadly, despite her unyielding fight, Laura’s cancer has spread, and after several surgeries and treatments, she recently learned that the cancer’s progression is aggressive. After careful consideration, Laura made the difficult decision to focus on the quality of the time she has left, rather than subjecting herself to more treatments that wouldn’t make a significant impact.

This week, we received the heartbreaking news that Laura will be transitioning to hospice care, and her family will soon be bringing her home to spend her remaining time in peace and comfort.

Over the past few years, Laura has not been able to work regularly due to her ongoing treatments, and the family has been living off a single income. Recently, they’ve faced even more challenges, including a sudden veterinary emergency when their beloved dog, Luna, needed surgery. With her passing approaching, her husband is now facing the difficult task of managing the household finances, navigating healthcare, and supporting their children, one of whom is in college and the other about to graduate high school.

Laura has always been the pillar of her family, and it is now our turn to be there for them.

Our goal is to raise funds to ease the financial burden during this difficult time. These funds will help with medical costs, funeral expenses, daily living, and ensuring that Laura’s family has the support they need as they navigate this incredibly challenging period. Our hope is to provide some peace of mind to Laura — to know that her family will be okay, that they will have the resources to cope, and that her children’s futures are secure.
