Laura Tyson, a dear family friend of mine, is in the hospital after a sudden hemorrhagic stroke on 10/04/24. Her motor functions and speech arm severely impaired. The doctors can’t tell from the MRI if there is a tumor or anything there because there is still too much blood and swelling in the area of the bleed. If swelling gets worse she may need surgery to relieve pressure.
He said the swelling after a hemorrhagic bleed usually peaks around 7 days but can take up to 10-14 days. So there will be a lot of waiting to see. They did a test for seizures, an EEG, and that was negative. They do have her on anti-seizure medicine as a precaution.
For now we watch and wait. Please donate what you can to pay for medical bills, emergency treatments, rehabilitation that is needed after, etc. Send prayers and love to her and her family.
Thank you!
