LAURA NEEDS YOUR HELP! After two years (including 3 ER visits, countless tests, and endless speculation by specialists) they discovered a tumor on Laura’s right adrenal gland and she was diagnosed with Adrenal Cushing's Syndrome (super rare).

Laura’s daily pain in her abdomen is crippling, and she finally has a surgery to remove the tumor scheduled on November 21! Recovery from Cushing's syndrome will be extremely difficult and lengthy. Her doctors predict that she will have a year of recovery on medications to help re-regulate her glands and hormones, which will require vigilant monitoring and much bed rest.

Through it all, Laura has managed to maintain her archaeological research, teaching, and service, all while digging for the truth of what was wrong with her! This holiday season, we would be grateful for help in any amount (every dollar counts) to pay down her medical bills, including her upcoming surgery and a much-needed adjustable mattress frame.
