LOVE for Laura King and her Healing Process

Hi, My name is Sheila Butwill and I, along with Laura's family, colleagues and friends have started a Go Fund Me to help Laura and her family at this difficult time as she begins her healing.

On Friday, March 1, 2024 our amazing mother, daughter, sister, Auntie, teacher and friend, Laura King suffered an AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation) brain bleed. She was rushed to Yale New Haven Intensive Neuroscience Unit. After less than a week in intensive care Laura’s miraculous progress allowed her to be transferred to Gaylord Rehabilitation Hospital to begin the hardest work of her life, the process of healing. All who know Laura are aware of her endless empathy, kindness, and generosity toward others. She has given all of her heart to her wonderful boys, her friends, 30+ years of students, family, and of course the long list of dogs she has fostered, adopted, and loved unconditionally. Laura, her boys and beloved pets will need continued support in the coming weeks and months. At this time, please keep Laura, and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Laura, who has taken care of so many, now needs our support to recover and heal.
