My name is Kevin Kennedy, my wife is Laura Kennedy. May 29 she had her seventh back surgery. On June 13 Laura felt and broke her back and wrist. She can't move her legs, she is having trouble with her thoughts. She had an ambulance take her to a Nashua hospital and then got the Dart helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock in Hanover NH where she has been in ICU since. To bills are stacking already and she is going to need a lot more care. Our home is going to be custom for her when she comes home. Laura was born with scoliosis her spine had a S curve to it. Things got worse on 2020. She had already had two cervical surgeries. They decided to fix two of the vertebrae’s in her lumbar that has started to collapse. After they fix them the lower ones below it collapsed. They realize then that they were gonna have to go in and do four rods to kick stand positions and two vertical positions as well as brace all the lumbar vertebrae. After she healed from that they went in and they brace all the cervical vertebrae almost a 3 1/2 year ordeal. This last one that was done on May 29 was to fix the rest of the thoracic that had needed support from twisting and turning in and breaking, it was supposed to be her last surgery. It was supposed to give her back her life on June 13, Friday the 13th if you will, she fell she broke two of the thoracic vertebrae’s that weren’t supported. She can’t move her legs. this was not supposed to be how this was supposed to work. I keep my faith in Jesus continue to pray and I know we are climbing a mountain. She’s my wife. She’s my best friend and I can do nothing. Humility is a tough one. I don’t have the financial capability for this. I have no choice but to swallow my pride and ask for help and I can’t thank all of you that have helped so much thank you from the bottom of my heart.
