Support Laura Flower’s Breast Cancer Fight!

Friends and family,

As some of you may know, my dear friend Laura Flowers was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in December. The last few months have been a big adjustment period for her and her family. While Laura hasn’t been overly open to talking about her situation, she has appreciated all of the love and prayers she has received. She has been trying to process and plan for the journey ahead, a daunting task. As you can imagine, the gravity of her illness is immense. Losing Brice 3 1/2 years ago has completely rocked the Flowers family. Laura has shown great strength and resilience through it all. I have been amazed by her time and time again. And when she has needed a little extra love and support, she has had a whole community behind her ready to step in and help wherever they can. And for that, I know she is eternally grateful. I am asking that this community come together again to support Laura in her fight against cancer. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow and once that is complete, her medical team will come up with her treatment plan, whether it be chemo, radiation, or both. Regardless, Laura will be unable to work while she is recovering from surgery and undergoing treatment. I’m sure we can all appreciate how scary it must be, and how vulnerable Laura must be feeling, being the sole provider for her family and fighting this massive battle at the same time. I would LOVE to show Laura that she is so loved and supported and that we have her back. If you would consider donating to help ease the burden of this journey, I would be extremely grateful and I know Laura will be as well. Any amount you can donate would be amazing. And if you can’t donate, that is completely okay. But, if you could please offer a prayer for her continued strength, her family’s comfort, and her medical team’s skill and care while treating her, I know how much that will help too. We will also be setting up a meal train, for after her family leaves. Stayed tuned for that.
