Support Laura Dawn's Medical Recovery

Help Support Laura Dawn Johnson with unexpected medical expenses/ living expenses until I'm able to return to work. Anything would be Sincerely appreciated.

Hello, my name is Laura Dawn Johnson I live in Gore Oklahoma I work at Gore Nursing Center as a CNA/RA. This may seem trivial to some, but not for me. Anyway, I was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider on Tuesday and went to Sallisaw Oklahoma to NorthEastern Health System Sequoyah Hospital on Wednesday night to get the spider bite checked out. They Gave me a tetanus shot and antibiotics and I was told to go back to the hospital if that didn't help. (Mind you, when this happened, I thought I had busted a blood vessel in my leg right above my knee because it had sharps pains and had burning sensation in it badly.)

So, on Thursday, I had to call in to work because it hurt so bad and the redness and burning sensation starting to get worse above my knee, as was the pain. On Friday, I decided to go to Tahlequah Ok. To NorthEastern Health System Tahlequah Hospital because something wasn't right and the pain was excruciating. It had gone from looking like a bruise/busted blood vessel above my right knee to a full-on big black/blue/blister almost the size of a dollar bill, maybe a little smaller, but you get the idea.

We went to NorthEastern Health System Tahlequah Hospital and they got me right back there and immediately said they were keeping me and proceeded to tell me that I'm diabetic now, probably have been for a minute, which explains a lot And how it wasn't caught before I'm not sure. I had to have surgery yesterday morning to get the Spider Bite cut out. (It was really deep and really bad.) I had to have a wound vac put in my leg and have to leave it in for 7 days. Needless to say, I'm out of work for sure 7 days (not sure how many I will be all together, I should find out today) and already missed Thursday and Friday because of it.

I am Cherokee and I also am doing my paperwork to get them to help me with medical bills and some of my meds. It's just that being out of work for that long has put me in a bigger bind than I'm already in with my regular bills and etc. I work hard every day for everything I have for me and my family and would work any of it off, but I'm down for a little while and can't do that right now and it scares the heck out of me. I need everything I have and can't lose it, so I'm asking everyone if you can donate to help me and mine out, I will forever be in your debt. If you can't, I completely understand that as well.

I just want to get better so I can get back to work. I know I miss my Residents and they're probably wondering where LD is (I work at GNC). I can't handle this at all and I need to heal fast. I know my grandbaby sure misses his Giggie playing with him too. That's killing me. Please, if you can, donate. If you can't, again, that's totally OK. I appreciate each and every one of you.
