Laura Bess is an incredible woman who has touched my life and the lives of many others. Ten years ago, Laura made the selfless decision to allow my husband James and me to adopt her newborn son. That little boy, now almost ten years old, has brought endless joy to our family, and we are forever grateful to Laura for her generosity and love. Over the years, Laura has remained a cherished part of our lives, and we have always admired her strength and kindness.

Just three months ago, Laura welcomed her own beautiful baby boy, Peyton. She was filled with happiness and pride, sharing videos and photos of Peyton’s precious face with me. Laura’s joy was contagious, and it was clear how much she cherished every moment with her son. Tragically, just two days ago, Peyton passed away from SIDS at only three months old. Laura is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing her child, and she is doing so with very little support. Raised by her grandmother, who has long since passed, and with her brothers living far away, Laura is mostly alone during this heartbreaking time. The baby’s father is not in the picture, leaving Laura to cope with this loss on her own.

Laura wants to give Peyton a proper funeral and burial, but the costs are overwhelming and she cannot afford them.
