Support Laura and Serena Sanders After the Loss of Bill

Our heartfelt condolences go out to all the loved ones of William Sanders. We are saddened by the loss of our friend. After a long battle with cancer, he passed away on January 5, 2025.

Bill’s wife and my friend, Laura, has shared with me in the past that at the time of Bill’s diagnosis a couple of years ago, the family had to leave their home and lost most everything in order to dedicate their lives to battling Bill’s cancer. I am familiar with their struggles, and this was no small feat. But, thanks to help from friends, family and the community coming together the three of them were able to manage and get Bill the treatment he needed while helping the family stay together. Laura has said to me in the past that they would not have been able to survive without the donations, love and support of the people she calls “Billy’s Warrior’s”. Bill, Laura and Serena did not call upon these warriors, but they showed up anyway.

It is at this very difficult time that we are asking you to show up for Serena and Laura again. Having to be a caretaker for Bill full-time, Laura was limited to working few hours. Serena is a full-time college student now and was also highly involved in the care of her dad. The family has been left destitute for the past couple of years as a result of battling Bill’s cancer. I have full confidence that Laura will carve out a new future path for herself after losing their business years ago and caring for Bill, but this will take time.
