Please help support the Truncalis in the wake of their lost home!

In the early hours of Thursday, July 10th, a devastating fire tore through the home attached to theirs in Jersey City. The fire was so severe, 8 firefighters were hospitalized due to injuries and the glow from the inferno could be seen from the Lincoln Tunnel. The Truncali family — Laura, Kris, their two children Quinn and Leo — along with their beloved cats, Linus and Nuddle, were forced to flee in the middle of the night with merely the clothes on their bodies. While we are so grateful that everyone made it out safely, the fire left behind extensive water damage to their house and the family has been forced to leave the place they’ve called home. They will need to completely rebuild, which will be a long, uphill battle.

The emotional weight of losing your home is something no one can prepare for. Along with irreplaceable memories, nearly all of their belongings were lost. Now, they face the daunting challenge of starting over from scratch — all while trying to provide stability, comfort, and reassurance to their children.

Why We’re Asking for Help:

In the days since the fire, the expenses have started piling up quickly. From trying to find temporary housing to replacing basic necessities like clothes, shoes, school supplies, and everyday household items, the financial strain is growing heavier by the day.

While insurance will cover some things, there’s still a long road ahead — and a lot that’s not covered. That’s where we come in!

• Replace essential items lost to the fire

• Provide a sense of comfort and normalcy for the kids during this uncertain time
