Hola a todos, mi nombre es Laura Alanis sigo luchando contra el cancer de mama. Hace 2 años ya desde el diagnostico, pase por 6 quimioterapias, cirugia de mastectomia radical y 15 sesiones de radioterapia posteriores. Cuando todo parecia aclararse, comence a sentir molestias en la axila del lado contrario y contra todos los pronosticos me encontraron un segundo cancer, diferente al primero, siendo este mas agresivo. Los doctores me dicen que es algo que se ve muy pocas veces y que en esta loteria de la vida me toco. Nunca baje los brazos, me puse en manos de Dios y los doctores y comence con un segundo ciclo de quimioterapia mas pesado que el primero. Al terminar me hicieron un TAC de control, descubriendo que los tumores habian disminuido de tamaño pero siguen presente, en el seguro social me comentaron que de momento no habia nada mas que hacer, pero no me quise quedar de brazos cruzados y gracias a dios encontre una alternativa para seguir luchando fuera del pronostico que me dieron en el IMSS. Con la ayuda de dos medicos que revisaron mi caso, me proponen un segundo ciclo de radioterapia el cual puede ayudarme en esta lucha para que el cancer no gane esta batalla. Este tratamiento tiene un costo de 160,000 pesos ($8,500 dlls aprox), mismos que tendre que cubrir al no darmelo como alternativa en el seguro, con mucha pena y sobre todo agradecimiento de antemano, si esta dentro de sus posibilidades apoyarme en esta causa les estare eternamente agradecida.
Hello everyone, my name is Laura Alanis. Like a lot of you already know, I’m still fighting breast cancer. It’s been two years since I was first diagnosed, I’ve been through 6 chemotherapies, undergone radical mastectomy surgery, and 15 radiotherapy sessions. As everything was going better, I began to feel discomfort in my opposite armpit, and the doctors unfortunately found another form of cancer, different from the first and more aggressive. The doctors said this is a very rare occurance and I was one of the few unlucky ones. I never lost faith, I put my life in the hands of God and the doctors and I began a second round of chemotherapy more aggressive than the first. When I finished the treatment, the doctors performed a CT scan, where they discovered that the tumors were beginning to shrink but they were still present. A doctor told me there was nothing else to be done at the moment to treat the cancer, but I refused to give up and all glory to God, I found another alternative to keep fighting this disease. Two doctors have reviewed my case and have recommended I undergo another round of radiotherapy, which could potentially help me not lose this battle against cancer. This treatment has a cost of $8,500 dollars, which I would have to cover myself as the insurance does not cover this treatment. With a heavy heart and sorrow, I ask you all if there is any possibility that you all can help me meet this goal so I can receive the treatment I need to continue fighting against breast cancer, I would be eternally greatful, as anything counts, even a prayer.
