Support Launching Blends with Benefits; Wellness, delivered
Donation protected
Wellness is a journey made up of many parts, and proper nutrition is a key piece of the puzzle. I believe healthy eating should be all about fresh, vibrant ingredients—especially vegetables and fruits—and most importantly, consistency! Over the past year, I’ve been perfecting my wellness shots, testing them with a dedicated group of early adopters. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m thrilled to take the next step in launching Blends with Benefits as soon as the licensing process is complete.
No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
The product
Gold Standard: anti-inflammation booster is the first in a series of wellness shots, made with freshly juiced raw ingredients and an emphasis on PNW sourcing.
Wellness shots and fresh juices are a remarkably simple concept, but they are not simple to make. Many people aspire to be the type of person who makes their own, but the reality of equipment, testing, consistency, time, and cleanup can be prohibitive. If you’ve ever tried this, you’ll know firsthand! This is where Blends with Benefits comes in. With a dual model of farmers markets and deliveries, Blends gives the option of weekly local drop offs to meet customers where they are at. More food-as-wellness products are in the works and will be rolled out soon. Larger batches come in reusable jars and the business model comes with strong values around waste reduction and sustainability.
Why a Go Fund Me?
Extensive food safety regulations are both a blessing and a curse! Your donation will help offset the litany of startup and licensing costs associated with food production. Catering permits average $750, and the permit for Farmers markets is $830 for example. In addition to sales, I am working towards several business grants and have partnered with a business coach; this campaign expedites an aggressive expansion in time for the post-new years wellness season.
The cost breakdown
These initial costs cover business fees (state & city, liability insurance, king county health permit, farmers market fees, catering license and more). I’m happy to share a more granular breakdown upon request!
