I am reaching out to the many friends and family who have asked what they can do to help after the unexpected death of my children’s father. David Laubach, Sr. passed away on Thursday, March 13, at his home after a short battle with ALS. No preparations had been made for his funeral expenses before his passing. The burden of all decision-making and expenses has fallen on the shoulders of our children. Dave (24) is expecting his first child, Brenna (22) will be graduating from UL in May, Alexa (18) is a freshman at LSU, and Gabriella (15) is a sophomore at CCHS.

Their lives are just beginning and now have to make decisions and cover expenses on top of the grief of losing a parent at such a young age.

The money raised will go to transportation, cremation, inurnment, legal fees to settle his affairs, and loss of wages for the older children as they take the time to grieve and handle all of this.
