Hi, my name is LaToya Fells, and I am humbly asking for your help.

I am a single mother of six—four of my children are now adults, and I am still raising two beautiful children who depend on me every day. Life has thrown more than a few storms my way, but I am determined to break the cycle for myself and for my kids.

My Story

I am a survivor of domestic abuse. For years, I endured pain in silence while trying to hold my family together. That trauma, along with other life struggles, led me down the difficult road of addiction. I’ve battled it for years, and though I’ve stumbled, I’ve never given up.

There have been moments when I had no roof over my head—I’ve been homeless four different times while trying to fight my way through recovery and rebuild my life. Each time, I’ve clawed my way back up because of my love for my children and my dream of a stable, peaceful life.

Today, I’m taking one of the biggest and bravest steps of my life: I am enrolled in a 30-day inpatient rehab program. This is not just for me—this is for my kids, my future, and the life I know I can have. But I can’t do it alone.
