Hello Everyone!!!
My name is Latosha Coney , and I am writing to ask for your support — not just for me, but for the continued impact I am striving to make in the community that raised me.
As a proud alumna of Frederick Douglass High School c/o 2015, in Atlanta Public Schools, I was the first in my family to graduate from high school, and now, I’m on the brink of becoming the first college graduate from the University of West Georgia, (this fall of 2025 with your help) in my family as well. It’s a journey that hasn’t always been easy, but it’s one that’s been fueled by hope, hard work, and heart.
Today, I serve students still at Usher Collier Elementary APS full-time as a dedicated paraprofessional, supporting scholars every day in classrooms that look a lot like the ones I once sat in myself. Outside of the school day, I raise my 8-year-old daughter — my greatest motivation!
Outside of the classroom, I also give back by doing hair pro bono or at discounted prices for women and children in our community. Whether it's a fresh style before a job interview, a child who parent just could not afford it, a first-day-of-school look, or simply helping someone feel confident — I consider it a calling to serve however I can.
As I prepare for the next chapter of my journey, I am seeking support to help with tuition to cover my last two semesters of school. Your contribution would not only help lighten my financial burden — it would be a powerful reminder that I am not walking this path alone.
I carry the dreams of my ancestors, the hopes of my daughter, and the responsibility of giving back to the village that helped shape me. Any donation you can provide will make a difference — not just in my life, but in the lives I touch every day.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Latosha Coney
