Hello everyone.
First, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to look at, share and donate to my cause. A little about me, my name is Latisha. I am a US Army veteran and currently I am a third-year student at Appalachian State University of NC obtaining my bachelor's degree in veterinary technology. I have spent in total about 8 years working with animals. From my time during and after the Army I have worked in animal retail, volunteered with humane societies, worked at animal shelters, obtained my certificate for veterinary assisting, became a veterinary surgical assistant, and worked with sportsman services as staff and animal caretaker. It was my time handling wildlife at sportsman services during my military career which sparked my love for helping animals. Now that I am in school, I have been given the greatest opportunity to advance my education and participate in a study abroad course for a short period of time in Africa. Which will in turn better my understanding of veterinary medicine through different cultural and medical practices and enhance my experience working with animals well beyond everyday domesticated animals. The downside is I have come to a roadblock financially in order to pay the remainder of the required cost of this course and the deadline is moving in very fast (May 15, 2025) and May 20, 2025 being the absolute last day to aquire the funding. I would be so grateful for any help to reach my goal of the remaining $4,000 cost to take this great opportunity of a lifetime. Again, I thank everyone reading this and donating.
Thank you,
Latisha
