Support Latisha Hamilton's Fight Against Cancer

My name is Nastoshia Anderson and I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister Latisha Hamilton. She is a 40yr old divorced mother of 2 beautiful and vibrant little girls who desperately need their mother. Nyveah who is 13 and Nova Rose who is 3.

She has currently been diagnosed with Stage 2 Gastric Cancer(stomach)and is still in need of a Bone Marrow Biopsy. She still works a full time as an upper level employee at a reputable insurance company. The insurance plan she had to pick in order to provide for her and her girls on day to day basis which causes her to have an astronomical deductible.

The cost of her office visits for the oncologist and other specialist are as follows:

Iron infusions: 150.00 copay 3x a week

Medicines: 279.00 monthly out of pocket

Urgent Care: 95.00 per visit, as of the beginning of Dec. 2024 she has been three times with one hospital stay.

ER visits are up to 10% out of pocket cost.

None of this includes her providing bare necessities for her and her babies. Her doctors are wanting to start a 6 month Chemo Therapy treatment right away. Here a few words from Latisha:

I am an independent, caring and very private person. I've always gone the extra mile to help my family and friends when needed in anyway possible. When the doctors first mentioned wanting me to undergo all these tests to confirm my diagnosis, I chose to go thru it alone. I didn't want to worry anyone, to be honest I was praying with every bit of my heart that the doctors were going to be wrong and I would be okay, but clearly I was in denial. When my doctors confirmed I had cancer I was still trying to wrap my head around things. I just really hoped it wasn't true. Quickly I realized I could do this alone and needed the support and love from my loved ones. I had to tell them. This has all been very hard for me to accept, but I've got to fight so that I can be here for my baby girls. Worrying about my health is one thing but to have to worry about being to get thru this financially so that I am able to afford the care as well as care for these girls. Any and everyone that knows me knows its not easy for me to ask for help. So here I am humbling myself and doing so. I appreciate you all for just taking the time to read my story.
