My name is Buffye, and this campaign is dedicated to honoring the life of my beloved sister, Latifa Tasha Brown. On January 22, 2022, Latifa was brutally taken from us—a loss that has left our family heartbroken and yearning for justice. For 11 years, Latifa faced a harrowing domestic abuse relationship, enduring unimaginable pain through five miscarriages. Yet, despite these tragedies, she was blessed with a miracle—a baby who now carries her spirit and love.
Since her untimely passing, our family has lived under the shadow of profound grief. Throughout this time, the story of my sister has been one of resilience in the face of overwhelming adversity. I have dedicated myself to sharing her story anywhere I can, in hopes of bringing light to the dark reality of domestic and gun violence. Recently, an inspiring opportunity arose to share her story on a much larger platform—one that could help us achieve much-needed justice and awareness. However, to make this vision a reality, we need your help.
This campaign seeks to raise the funds necessary to amplify Latifa's message and support the fight for true justice. Despite the current sentence of 13 years handed to the person accountable for her loss, we believe this does not equate to the severity of the crime. We are committed to advocating for a justice system that truly reflects the gravity of such a loss, ensuring that no victim of domestic abuse is ever forgotten.
Every donation will go directly toward expanding the reach of Latifa’s story, supporting legal and advocacy efforts, and helping us create a lasting memorial of her extraordinary life. Your generosity will not only honor her memory but also empower others who are struggling in silence to find their voice and fight back against abuse.
Please join me in this battle for justice and healing—help us turn tragedy into a catalyst for change. Latifa’s life mattered, her story matters, and with your support, we can make sure that her legacy of courage continues to inspire and protect others.
Thank you for standing with us.
