Help Us Lay Latifah Simmons to Rest

Hi, my name is Gladys, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during a time of deep sorrow in my family.

My beloved cousin, Latifah Simmons, recently passed away, and her body is still being held at the morgue. Tragically, her husband has chosen not to take responsibility for her final arrangements, leaving our family in an incredibly difficult position.

To make matters even more heartbreaking, just a week before Latifah passed, her mother — my aunt, Lee Simmons — also died unexpectedly. When we went to visit her after hearing about Latifah’s death, we discovered that she, too, had passed away. It has been an unimaginable double tragedy.

Thankfully, we were able to raise the funds to cremate my aunt, Lee. But now we are asking for help to give Latifah a dignified burial. The funeral home has informed us that her condition won’t allow for an open-casket service, but they are willing to offer a straight burial.

This is the third funeral I’ve had to help arrange for my family, and unfortunately, I simply don’t have the funds to do this alone. We are asking for any help you can give — no amount is too small. Every dollar brings us one step closer to laying Latifah to rest with the dignity and peace she deserves.
