Dear Schwab Team & Friends,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support for a dear colleague, Latasha Poindexter. For many of us, Latasha has been a steady presence at Charles Schwab for decades. Latasha joined Schwab in 1992 and has been serving and protecting us as a security guard since. Through all the ups and downs that Schwab has faced, Latasha has been a steady and uplifting spirit and a true example of Schwab’s culture and the impact we have on clients. I know every day that as I leave the office, no matter how challenging the day has been, Latasha will greet me with a smile, a laugh, and a deeply caring and optimistic heart.

For the last few weeks, I noticed Latasha was not at her post and recently learned that she is battling late-stage cancer. Latasha has always shown up for us at Schwab with her kindness, humor, and strength, and now I’m reaching out to ask for your support in showing up for her.

Though Latasha is now home from the hospital, she is facing a long battle, and I am hoping we can all join in helping her fight her way back to serving alongside us. We’ve created this fund to share the burden with her — to help with bills, travel for care, recovery-related costs, and any immediate household needs while she’s away from work so that she can focus on treatment and recovery.

Every contribution – large or small – will help lighten a heavy burden and allow Latasha to focus more fully on healing and rest.
