On July 15th, my sister La'Star started having contractions at 23 weeks pregnant. By the time she reached the hospital, she was 10 cm dilated and had to undergo an emergency C-section. My nephew Princeton was born at 15 ounces and was immediately taken to the NICU with several complications, including low blood pressure, a level 4 brain bleed, and organ failure.
On Thursday, around 4 pm, the NCIU doctor called. He shared that Princeton's kidneys and liver were failing. There was nothing else that they could do for him. Princeton was brought out of the incubator and for the first time in 4 days, my sister was able to hold her baby for an hour. Ultimately, despite the medical team's best efforts, Princeton passed away on July 18th.
La'Star and her fiancé, Kelton are now facing significant financial burdens, including funeral expenses and mounting medical bills, on top of moving costs and preparing for La'Star's 12-year-old daughter's school year.
We are asking for your support to help them through this difficult time. Any financial assistance you can provide will go toward covering these expenses and helping La'Star and Kelton focus on healing. Your prayers and emotional support are also deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
