Support Last Landscape and Sustainable Creation

Last Landscape is Bad New Days' latest experimental theatre offering, produced in partnership with Common Boots Theatre, and presented at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre from January 12th - 26th, 2025.

This is our first large-scale production since 2022's 5 time Dora Award winning Italian Mime Suicide.

Last Landscape blends Bad New Days’ signature brand of physical theatre with an eco-dramaturgical, DIY aesthetic to create a slowly transforming, imagistic meditation on extinction, ecological grief, and interspecies care, where colossal puppets of prehistoric megafauna roam free. On the brink of environmental collapse, the production offers hopeful possibilities for how we all might share this big green miraclemarble.

Towards Sustainable Theatre Practice

This production pushes the boundaries of sustainability through all levels of production from the dramaturgy down to the design, and asks bigger questions about how we might share our world.

The Ask

Here is where we need your help to bring this vision to life! We're launching this campaign to raise $4,000 to support this incredible artistic team. Creating independent theatre is a labour of love but it's also a challenge.

One of the main challenges in being sustainable is that it often takes more time and more resources. So, 100% of the funds raised in this campaign will go towards bolstering design fees and budget to allow more time to ethically source materials, as well as more subsidised tech time, and technician fees. As more time is less stress on the technicians but more expensive!
