Dear Loved ones,

My name is Neka Hamilton and I am writing to you on behalf of my sister-in-love and the Brown Family.

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We wanted to share some important news with you all. Recently, Lashonda has been seen by a specialist and it has been determined that a tumor has been found.

Let me start by assuring you that Lashonda is not afraid of this diagnosis. Her spirits remain high, and she is incredibly hopeful. Her outlook and determination are unwavering.

As we navigate this journey together, I ask that we all stand in agreement with Lashonda, refusing to let fear take hold. Let's align our faith with God's word and fully support her as she embarks on this healing process, doing the WORK, as James 2:14-26 encourages us to do.

Backstory: Not Long ago, Lashonda had discovered a lump. After discovering the lump (which is in her left breast), she promptly sought medical attention and underwent a biopsy revealing the lump to be 2 cm in size. Fortunately, further testing confirmed that there were no active cancer cells present, which was a huge relief so we thought. The lump continued to grow and she proceeded to look further into this matter however, in the process of doing so the family’s situation took a financial turn when she was laid off from her job, resulting in the loss of her PPO insurance. This change has significantly increased the medical expenses, including copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs. With her family now relying on a single income, these additional financial burdens have added stress to what is already an emotionally taxing situation.

• Medical Bills: Covering the costs of chemotherapy, surgeries, medications, intratumorally immunotherapy, short-course radiation, thermal ablation, and follow-up care.

• Transportation: Assisting with travel to and from treatments.

• Emotional Support: Providing access to counseling and mental health resources.
