I am Lashonda Smith and I am a survivor of a very rare type of cancer that I was diagnosed with in 2002. My life has changed once again from being diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2024. Since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024, I have completed chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In addition to that, I have had one major surgery and another surgery expected for July 2025. Due to the type of cancer that I have, and the fact that it's very aggressive, I need to be on maintenance drugs which are costly and beyond my financial means. To obtain the prescription for two of the drugs, I am in need of $4600. After the radiation treatment, it is imperative that I start the maintenance drugs immediately after treatment for them to be successful.
