Larry is one of my best friends, and he has always been the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. On September 1st, Larry suffered a cardiac arrest and went without oxygen to his brain for approximately 20 minutes. By the grace of God, he survived the ambulance ride and made it to the hospital. Since then, Larry has endured two hospitalizations, a life-threatening incident at a skilled nursing facility, and is now in an LTACH facility undergoing standard physical therapy rehabilitation.

During his first hospital stay, Larry was not awake and experienced multiple seizures. Thankfully, he is no longer having seizures and is now awake and alert. However, he cannot speak or move his limbs, leaving him bedridden and unable to do the everyday things we often take for granted. Despite these challenges, Larry remains mentally present and determined to recover.

Larry needs the correct targeted intervention to progress to the next step in his recovery, but this level of treatment is not covered by insurance and requires out-of-pocket funds that are very difficult for his family to manage. Larry has always been a kind and generous person, helping people from all walks of life. We are asking for any assistance to help in his recovery so he can have a chance at a meaningful life.
