I am writing this letter today in hopes there are still angels in our world.

I am Larry Ross, reaching out on behalf of my family, including my wife and our daughter, who came into our lives after a challenging journey of 6 miscarriages. Following multiple fertility treatments, we opted for a surrogate, and on November 27th, 2023, we were blessed with our precious daughter, Brielle Elizabeth, who brings us immense joy. We spent our entire savings to have her, but she is truly a blessing and our gift from God. I used to tell Lisa I will try till my last breath to have a baby. Now I am literally struggling to take a breath some days. For the past 13 years, I have successfully managed a concrete company, ensuring all financial obligations were met. In September 2024, I was hospitalized due to severe breathing difficulties, leading to a month-long stay and medical procedures, including a lung biopsy. While the biopsy ruled out cancer, I was diagnosed with end-stage COPD. I have been on life support 3 times, had tubes draining air and fluid from around my lungs, suffer from anxiety, and literally can't walk 10 feet without losing my breath. Subsequently, I have been undergoing evaluation for a lung transplant at Corewell Lung Transplant Center in Grand Rapids, and I am grateful to have been recently listed for transplant. My current condition requires constant oxygen support, limiting my mobility and ability to work. I enjoyed my work and the company was successful. I never expected to end up in the position I am in now. As a result, our family is solely reliant on my disability income of $949.00 per month and food stamps for our daughter. We are struggling to keep up.

My health challenges prevent me from working. My wife is also unable to seek employment as she is caring for both me and Brielle. It is very hard to ask for help, but it is my only alternative at the moment. In closing, I humbly ask for your assistance in resolving our financial difficulties as my family and I navigate this challenging period. Your understanding and compassion would mean a great deal to us as we focus on my health and well-being. When I get the call for new lungs, we will have to relocate 2 hours away from our home for my recovery. We will have to rent an apartment for 3 months as I will have to be at the doctor's office every day. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated and a blessing for us. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and God bless you.
