Larry has been part of my content creation journey since I started making videos in 2018. He was adopted as a 6 year old so he’s about 14 now, and he’s made it into almost every video I’ve posted on YouTube.

He’s been pretty healthy for an old dude. Until recently and pretty abruptly I noticed a loss of appetite and weakness from him, and took him to his vet. The vet didn’t know what was causing it but we tried some appetite stimulant cream which helped a tiny bit, but he’s still not excited about food, doesn’t hang out much with me, and is very lethargic.

After about a week or 2, which was a couple days before writing this, he couldn’t even hold his balance while walking and he was falling over. I rushed him to the vet and they administered a b12 shot and other vitamins which got him back on his feet. The vet even told me they didn’t think he’d make it after my first visit, they know he’s very anemic but do not know why.

They said it could be either a form of autoimmune thing eating up his red blood cells or some cancer. The autoimmune might be reversible with medications, or would probably require a blood transfusion which would cost thousands.

I was asked if I want to put him down but I think Larry has a fight in him and it’s not his time yet.

He has a lot of fans and I’m sure they wouldn’t want to see him go so soon.
