Support Larry's Cancer Fight and Recovery Journey

On December 6th of this year, we got the news that nobody wants to hear. My dad, Larry Felton, was diagnosed with stage four lymphoma that was very aggressive and had already spread to one lung. My dad has spent his career being a trucker, driving up and down the highway most of his life. He had to park his truck in December in order to start chemotherapy treatments. Chemotherapy was not easy on my dad, but he took it like a champ. He was at the hospital 2 to 3 times a week every week since December. By the grace of God, his scan came back that the chemotherapy is working. My dad is beating cancer, but in return, it took everything from him. When you have to spend pretty much every day at the hospital and the other days sick, what can you do?

I've watched my dad be so strong the last six months. It hurts my heart that he has nothing left but the roof over his head and his two dogs. I was asked by some of his trucker friends to start a GoFundMe for my dad. I said absolutely. My dad has a village around him. They may not be blood, but they ARE family. Truckers definitely come together in the time of need. I'm opening up this GoFundMe for my dad after being asked to do so. This money will help him get back on his feet. It's not fair that an almost 69-year-old man who went through chemotherapy and beat cancer against all odds is now left with nothing. This is supposed to be a happy time where we are rejoicing that he beat cancer, not worried about how he's gonna get his next meal. My dad still has doctor's appointments to go to. At this time, we're not sure when he will get to go back to work. So if it's in your heart to donate, I would truly appreciate it, and I know my dad would too. If you can't donate, please just say a prayer for my dad. Either way, I appreciate it!! My dad's a good person, and I just hate seeing him go through this.

II would like to give a little backstory as to why we are here. December 6 my dad was diagnosed with very aggressive lymphoma that had already spread to one lung. My dad has not been able to work all year. He had to park his truck in order to be at the hospital 2 to 3 times a week since. My dad will be 69 years old in August. He beat cancer but in return it took everything from him. My dad has only the roof over his head left, which is his RV. He has his two beloved dogs. That's it. My dad is going to a church every week to pick up food so he will have something to eat. He lives off of his small Social Security check and he has to pay rent out of that. That leaves him with barely anything. My dad has passed his written CDL. Now he will go on to take his test. My dad has been a truck driver, most of his life. He was known as one of the best tile layers there was. My dad is my hero. I watched him undergo hard chemotherapy. I watched him as he was terrified. I watched my dad change as his life flashed before his eyes. At first, he was going to deny all treatment. Thankfully, he went ahead and went through the red devil chemo. Now he has a heart monitor on because the chemotherapy. My dad wants to get back to work. He's been released to go back to work under certain restrictions. My dad needs help. Everyone needs help from time to time and they should not be ashamed to ask. And like I said, if you can find it in your heart to donate even five dollars to my dad, I would appreciate it. If you can just say a prayer, I would appreciate it.
Thanks y'all
