Our neighbor, Larry Thomas, was the kind of person who always put others first. He was a nurse for over 30 years and was currently working as a hospice nurse in our community. He was known for his compassion, kindness, and the comfort he brought to families during their most difficult moments. His presence alone made people feel safe and cared for. Beyond his work, Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, coach, and friend. He dedicated countless hours to coaching softball for Marysville Little League, Drop Zone, and Marysville High School, mentoring young athletes with patience, encouragement, and heart. To those who knew him, he was more than a neighbor—he was family.

Tragically, Larry’s life was changed by a sudden and devastating medical emergency. What began unexpectedly quickly became something no one could have prepared for. In the face of this unimaginable situation, he continues to give selflessly. This Tuesday, he will be donating his organs—a final act of generosity that reflects the extraordinary person he has always been. He is survived by his loving wife, Meagan, five children, and two grandchildren. His family was his world, and the loss they are facing is beyond words.
