Support Larry Smith's Battle Against Leukemia
Donation protected
My name is Shanice Smith and my mother, Veronica Smith, and I are trying to raise money for her only son and my only sibling, my older brother, Larry Smith. He is a 32-year-old father of three wonderful children and a beloved partner, grandson, nephew, and cousin. For the past few months, Larry has been suffering from joint pain, fevers, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, and rapid weight loss, among other symptoms.
After undergoing bloodwork, the clinic, unable to reach him, informed our mother that he needed to go to the hospital immediately due to critically low blood levels. If he had waited any longer, he could have suffered a heart attack.
Over the course of four days, Larry underwent numerous tests, where he was diagnosed with anemia and pneumonia, as well as a B-12 deficiency. Due to his dangerously low blood count, he required four blood transfusions. To rule every possibility out, the hospital also ran a bone marrow test. On November 19, 2024, this test revealed that he has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This rare and aggressive cancer affects the bone marrow and blood, but fortunately, it is curable.
Larry has since been transferred to another hospital, where he will receive specialized treatment for leukemia, including chemotherapy and close monitoring due to the intensity of the treatments.
At the time of his hospitalization, Larry was the sole breadwinner and did not have insurance. As a result, he is facing significant hospital bills alongside his regular expenses, which adds to his stress during this challenging time. Your generosity will help alleviate his worries about paying rent and medical bills so that he can focus on his recovery.
If you are able to support Larry during this difficult period—whether through financial assistance, sharing this campaign, or keeping him in your thoughts and prayers—it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time, support, and prayers.
May you be blessed for your kindness and generosity.
We hope that you have a happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas ❤️
